Baggage Reclaim Area At Palma De Mallorca Airport
The ‘Baggage Reclaims’ area at Palma De Mallorca Airport is very big and as you can imagine, at peak times this area can become very busy due to the many flight arrivals. Throughout the year, the airport has to deal with over 21 million passengers and each day there are a large number of flights arriving from a large number of different countries throughout the world. To help process these flights and large numbers of passengers quickly and efficiently, there are a large number of luggage carousels in place inside the ‘Baggage Reclaims’ area at Palma airport. There are in fact 19 carousels in the ‘Baggage Reclaim’ and each flight arrival at the airport is allocated its own carousel. Once you reach the ‘Baggage Reclaim’ area inside the airport, you will need to locate the appropriate carousel that has been allocated for your flight. You can do this by simply looking at any one of the digital monitors that are located above each carousel and locating the carousel that displays your flight number and origin. There are also overhead monitors near the entrances to the Baggage Reclaim area (at the bottom of the travelators) that list all the latest flight arrivals and to which carousel those flights have been allocated.
Once you have successfully located the carousel that has been allocated for your flight, simply stand next to it and wait for your luggage to appear.
Signs Inside The Baggage Reclaim Area
There are several overhead signs in the ‘Baggage Reclaim’ area and these signs are designed to give directions to the various facilities that are available in the airport. The signs are in Spanish, Catalan, English and German.
Trolleys In the Baggage Reclaim Area
There are plenty of trolleys available throughout the airport and these trolleys can be found near the entrances to the ‘Baggage Reclaims’ area. As you enter the ‘Baggage Reclaims’ area at Palma airport, you will see the large collection of trolleys in the trolley park, simply take one and then proceed to the carousel. The trolleys are free and do not require a deposit (this was correct at the time of writing).
Special Baggage Carousel
There is also a carousel that is designated for Special Baggage and this is located near carousel number 17. If you have checked-in any hold luggage that is classed as ‘Special Baggage’, you will need to go to the ‘Special Baggage’ carousel to reclaim your luggage.
Animal Reclaim
If you are traveling with a pet or any other animal, you will need to collect your pet from the ‘Animal Claim’ desk inside the ‘Baggage Reclaim’ area. The ‘Animal Claim’ area, is located between carousels 10 & 11.
The ground support staff at Palma airport are very experienced and try to process each flight as quick as possible. As you can imagine, at peak times there are a large amount of luggage to process and during these busy periods, the waiting time may be a little longer than at less busy periods.
Once you have reclaimed your luggage, you can then make your way to the main arrivals area. This is where you will be able to find Car hire and other forms of airport transfer such as bus, coach and taxis. If you have booked your holiday through a travel company and your airport transfer from Palma airport is included, this is where you will be greeted by your tour representative.

There are several vending machines that sell Coffee, snacks, water and fresh drinks and also ones that sell sweet and lollipops for children. Please Note: These desks are accessible from both sides which means that you can speak to a member of staff when you are in the ‘Baggae Reclaims’ are and also once you have exited the ‘Baggage Reclaims’ area and are in the main Arrivals area of the airport.
There are also several ATM cash dispensers in the ‘Baggage Reclaim’ area and near the Exit doors leading into the Main Arrivals area.
Taxi Info Points
Throughout the airport you will see Taxi Information Points and there are several in the ‘Baggage Reclaim’ area. These Taxi Information Points inform you of how much the fare will be to the many different resorts and destinations on the island. Obviously, this is very handy if you are planning on taking a taxi to your chosen destination, as it will allow you to ensure you do not pay too much for your journey.

Talk Free Information Telephones
Located at several points inside the ‘Baggage Reclaim’ area at Palma airport, you will see the ‘Talk Free Information’ Telephones. These telephones, allow you to speak to a member of the airport team who will answer any questions you may need answering about the airport.
Emergency Plan Boards
Situated throughout the ‘Baggage Reclaim’ area in Palma airport are ‘Emergency Plan boards. These Emergency Plan board show you where the fire extinguishes, fire hoses and Emergency exits are located.

There are several cash machines located in the ‘Baggage Reclaim’ area and there are ATM’s located next to the main exits.
